The Great Lakes ADA Center is pleased to offer a variety of conferences and training opportunities regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Programs highlighted on this website are either conducted by and/or sponsored by the Great Lakes ADA Center. We are a member of the ADA National Network.

The ADA National Network provides a comprehensive set of services for up-to-date information, consultation, referrals, resources, and training on the Americans with Disabilities Act for businesses, employers, governmental entities, service providers and individuals with disabilities.

WebEd: Professional Development Webinar Series
The WebEd: Professional Development Webinar Series is designed specifically for AT Act Programs. A collaborative of RESNA and the Great Lakes and Southwest ADA Centers. This series of webinar touch on a variety of topics including post secondary education, employment and community integration.

Understanding The Obligations Of Lodging Facilities To Meet The Needs Of Customers With Disabilities
The ADA National Network is hosting a series of six webinar sessions targeting the lodging industry to provide in-depth information on the impact of the revisions to the ADA regulations and accessibility standards. Several major policy and procedural changes are needed to meet these new requirements some of which had compliance dates of March 15, 2011 and others which are triggered on March 15, 2012. The sessions are designed to provide timely information by experts on various aspects of the regulations. The programs are 90 minutes in length and provided FREE to interested persons.

Implementing Universal Design for Education in Illinois Webinar Series
These webinars will focus on key concepts, strategies and instructional technology that may be used to develop course materials that are universally designed. Universally designed course materials often provide benefits on multiple levels, including accessibility, content retention, varied learning styles, as well as platform and device independent delivery.
